The performance of the ball mill in grinding and the output level are both influenced by the grinding balls used in the ball mill. As the grinding and loading process occurs inside the cylinder of the ball mill, the grinding balls will undergo certain wear. Therefore, the operators of the ball mill need to replenish the balls regularly to compensate for the wear and maintain the filling rate of the balls and the reasonable ratio. Generally, the grade range of grinding balls in the ball mill is between 25% and 35%, but in practical applications, the intermediate grade range is mostly between 28% and 32%. When the material is difficult to grind or the grinding requirements are for a finer fineness, it is advisable to keep the ratio no higher than 28%.
