1, high chromium ball quality index:  

The national standard requires high chromium ball hardness (HRC) must be more than 58, the impact value AK ≥3.OJ/cm 2, if the hardness of high chromium ball must be high temperature quenching + tempering treatment (at present, the domestic high chromium ball quenching oil quenching and wind quenching two kinds of quenching),  If the test hardness (HRC) is below 54, it indicates that the high chromium ball has not been hardened.  

2, the quality index of chromium ball:  

The impact value AK ≥ 2.0j /cm 2. The hardness of the chromium ball (HRC) must be ≥47. In order to ensure the quality of the steel ball, the chromium ball needs to be treated with high temperature tempering (in order to eliminate the casting stress).  Such as the steel ball surface is dark red indicates that the product has been high temperature tempering, such as the steel ball surface is still metal color indicates that the product has no high temperature tempering.  

3, low chromium ball quality index:  

Chromium content 0.5%~2.5%, carbon content between 1.80% and 3.20% are called low chromium ball, the national standard requires low chromium ball hardness (HRC) must be more than 45, impact value AK ≥1.5J/cm 2, in order to ensure the quality of steel ball low chromium ball also need to adopt high temperature tempering treatment (in order to eliminate casting stress),  Such as the steel ball surface is dark red indicates that the product has been high temperature tempering, such as the steel ball surface is still metal color indicates that the product has no high temperature tempering.
