The filling rate calculation formula of the grinding body is as follows:  

The filling rate of the grinding body has a great influence on the output and grinding efficiency of the mill.  The filling rate is also known as the loading capacity. The calculation ratio is the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the loaded grinding body divided by the cross-sectional area in the mill.  The calculation can be based on the inner diameter of the mill and the distance from the surface of the grinding body to the highest point of the lining of the mill. If the lining plate is a special shape, such as wave type or step type, it must be reasonably corrected and the average value should be selected.  

The filling rate can be simplified as: the filling rate =1.068-1.164 times the distance from the grinding surface to the highest point of the liner divided by the inner diameter of the mill.  

The total weight of the grinding body can be calculated by the loose density of the grinding body and the effective length of the mill or chamber  

That is, the weight of the grinding body in the mill or chamber is equal to 1/4 ⅱ times the square of the mill diameter times the filling rate times the loose density times the effective length of the mill  

The mass of the abrasive body can be obtained  

During the operation of the mill, due to the continuous impact and friction between the grinding body and the grinding body and the material, the grinding body continues to wear, and the filling rate is constantly decreasing. Therefore, it is very important to ensure a stable and reasonable filling rate for the output of the mill.  This paper introduces five methods for measuring the filling rate of abrasives, which are applicable to abrasives of different materials (such as steel ball, porcelain ball, etc.).
